Bath Salts

Today our Stingrays made Bath Salt gifts for the ones they love. We hope you enjoy them!

Crowns

Today the Stingrays made Valentine’s Day crowns. The children had to paint glue onto their love hearts and then push tiny paper squares onto it. It was tricky, but we loved our crowns once they were finished.

Playing House

Our Stingrays have been enjoying playing house this week as we talk about families and love.

Valentine’s Day

This week our Stingray and Iguana classes will be learning about Valentine’s Day! We will be singing songs, playing games, and making special crafts for our loved ones!

Painting Seed Pods

To wrap up our study of plants we painted some large seed pods. We can even shake them to make music!

Leaf Rubbings

Today the Stingrays made leaf rubbing artwork and planted Cress.

Music

Today the Stingrays enjoyed a music lesson with Tanya. We sang songs about plants and enjoyed using our bodies to make different sounds. We also practiced our pouring skills using some beans!

What Plants Need

Today the children made sunflower pictures and planted basil! They discussed how flowers need sun, soil, and water to help them grow.

Plants

This week the Stingrays are learning about plants and the things they need to live and grow! Today at our sensory table they practiced planting seeds with soil, small pots, and little scoops.

Farewell Miss Carmen

We would like to say thank you to Miss Carmen for all of her help during the last few months. We will miss you!

Where Food Comes From

Today the Stingray class finished their theme on nutrition by discussing where our food comes from.

Yummy Strawberries

To continue our theme on healthy foods and nutrition the Stingrays made strawberries at the art table today and spinach dip for snack time at the sensory table. Yum!

Healthy Habits

The Stingray class is learning healthy eating habits this week. They’ve enjoyed shopping in our very own grocery store and creating healthy dinner plates.

Pizza

The Stingrays are learning about the food pyramid and healthy eating habits. Today the created their own veggie pizzas in art, and helped make pizza for snack using a whole wheat crust. Yum!

Nutrition

This week the Stingray class will be learning about nutrition, the food pyramid, and where food comes from.

Winter Scenery

Today the Stingray class learned about what winter looks like in colder climates. They made paintings of trees with no leaves and conducted an experiment using salt and warm colored water to try and melt large blocks of ice.

Today the stingray class learned about sound and their ability to hear. Tanya taught the children about sound by using different instruments and discussing the types of sounds they make.
